Over the last eighteen (18) years of this experience, he has been contributing to the rapidly growing Real Estate segments of land, vacation ownership, vacation clubs and the fastest emerging category of fractional vacation home ownership.
Starting his career in Sales, Tim progressed in Sales and Sales Management with both IBM and Scott Paper Company, until 1984, when he was recruiting to run Sales, Marketing and Distribution for the Pepsi Bottling Group. Over six (6) years at Pepsi and two (2) years heading National Account Sales for Frito Lay, he ran all General Management responsibilities for Sales, Marketing, Operations and Distribution.
In 1992, Tim was recruited to join the start up team that launched the very successful Disney Vacation Club as Director of Sales and Marketing in Orlando Florida. Over the last eighteen 18 years, Tim has contributed his Sales and Marketing expertise to industry leading Vacation Ownership companies from Disney, Wyndham Resorts and Starwood Vacation Ownership. As the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing Operations for Starwood’s Eastern Region, Tim’s contribution over a three (3) year period, saw net sales revenue increase 68%, from $98 million in 2004 to $165 million in 2007. Growth was achieved through a strong cross functionally partnership with Sales, Resort Management and Training to re-engineer the Sales & Marketing presentations from a product to experience based approach, supported by strict adherence to a system wide set of SOP’s, improving overall sales efficiencies 11%.
From Starwood, he was recruited to Land Resource as Executive Vice President of Marketing to spearheaded all corporate sales and field marketing for a recognized industry leader in the acquisition, development, marketing, and sales of a “Lifestyle Collection” of vacation, second and retirement home communities in the Southeast. His leadership generated $189 million in pre-development land sales in 2007 through successfully developing and executing a fully integrated marketing & sales solutions strategy, built on a branding, owner/customer segmentation, lead generation and cultivation, e-marketing, event and sales promotion platform for nine (9) active communities valued at over $400 million.
In 2008, Tim joined Gary Sumner owner of a spectacular 13,000 square foot Villa and 60’Hatteras Yacht in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to create and launch E3escapes, the world’s first 3-dimensional shared vacation home ownership concept. Due to its overwhelming response, Tim has been named President and is responsible for all operational aspects of this initial offering and developing the comprehensive strategy to expand the concept globally.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Gettysburg College and is married to his wife Susan, of over fifteen (15) years. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and tennis.
